Title : Senior Manager, Analytics & Insights
Position Overview
Avid Marketing Group is seeking a Senior Manager, Analytics & Insights to lead the transformation of data into strategic advantage for our clients in the CPG and shopper marketing space. This individual will play a critical role in advancing how we collect, analyze, and interpret data — integrating technology, automation, and AI to deliver deeper, faster, and more actionable insights.
The ideal candidate combines strong CPG / retail expertise with a technical and innovative mindset — someone who is as comfortable discussing brand lift and category trends as they are exploring how AI or advanced analytics can uncover new growth opportunities. We’re looking for a hands-on leader who is eager to take on more, experiment with emerging technologies, and push the boundaries of what’s possible in marketing analytics.
Reports to : VP Analytics & Insights
Key Responsibilities (subject to change based on business requirements) :
Shopper Marketing & Client Insights
- Lead analytics and insight development for multi-channel shopper marketing programs — linking marketing activity to measurable sales lift and ROI
- Translate complex performance data across tactics (retailer media, national campaigns, trade offers, etc.) into clear stories and strategic recommendations
- Partner with Account and New Business teams to define metrics, optimize program effectiveness, and guide investment decisions
- Develop client-ready presentations and reports that not only explain what happened but uncover why — and what to do next
Technology & Advanced Analytics
Drive the evolution of analytics capabilities through automation, AI-assisted reporting, and predictive modelingLeverage emerging technologies (e.g., generative AI, machine learning, natural language analysis) to automate insight generation and identify business opportunities proactivelyPartner with internal and external development teams to build and refine scalable, repeatable processes that streamline reporting and empower teams with automated analytics toolsLeadership & Collaboration
Manage, mentor, and inspire a team of Sr. Marketing Analysts focused on high-impact insights and technical excellenceAct as a thought partner to senior leaders and clients, advocating for data-driven decision-making across functionsCollaborate cross-functionally with other agency teams and external partners / vendors to ensure insights inform all aspects of client programsFoster a culture of curiosity and continuous learning — encouraging exploration of new technologies and analytical techniquesMust Have Qualifications :
7+ years of experience in CPG analytics, shopper insights, category management, or trade / retail analyticsStrong command of syndicated data sources (e.g., Circana / IRI, Nielsen) and understanding of retailer and FDMC ecosystemsProficiency with analytics tools such as Excel (pivot tables, advanced formulas), Power BI, Tableau, or equivalentProven ability to synthesize large, complex datasets into actionable business insights and communicate findings clearly to diverse audiencesExcellent storytelling and presentation skills — able to translate data into persuasive narrativesA proactive, curious mindset and eagerness to explore and adopt new technologies that enhance analytical capabilitiesNice to Have
Experience with predictive analytics, AI-assisted insight generation, or data automation workflowsFamiliarity with SQL, Python, or modern data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery)Experience in data visualization and dashboard developmentExposure to panel data or media attribution modelingPrior experience in an agency or consulting environment supporting multiple client accountsWho you Are
