Position Summary
The Facilities Engineer troubleshoots and provides electrical solutions in the area of electrical facilities and building maintenance. The successful individual will be responsible for managing ANC's energy consumption activities that contribute to the carbon footprint, working alongside the facility team to identify and implement carbon reduction projects. The individual will be involved in ensuring compliance with current codes and regulations pertaining to ANC facilities.
Position Responsibilities
The incumbent is expected to perform the following functions that the company has determined are essential to this position :
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical and electrical controls issues in circuits containing transformers, disconnects, over current protection devices, and general control components (relays, timers, PLC, etc.)
- Plan electrical and control upgrades to equipment and facilities building to ensure the efficiency of the plant operations
- Review and oversee plant facilities documents and records as it relates to electrical issues, updates, and electrical components
- Track and control Monthly Repair Cost Record and monitor all ANC Utility cost, including detailed history for each piece of Facility equipment.
- Provide direct supervision to facility technicians, and train facility technicians on proper safety procedures
- Manage and plan facility upgrade projects and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and ANC standards.
- Ensure compliance with Aisin's goals and guidelines regarding carbon emissions and reporting
- Provide recommendations and solutions to improve ANC's sustainability performance
- Assisting the Facility Team in Carbon Reduction Projects
- Measure and monitor the ANC energy consumption and other activities that contribute to the carbon footprint
- Identify and advise on opportunities for reducing the clients' carbon footprint through the implementation of more sustainable practices and technologies
- Communicate the results and progress of the carbon footprint analysis to the relevant stakeholders, including management, employees and external partners.
Required Skills and Abilities
Essential Skills and Experience :
5+ years of experience working within Facilities Engineering & MaintenanceExperience in overseeing initiatives in carbon consumption and conservation are preferredAble to efficiently troubleshoot, repair, and modify PLC based control systems Experience troubleshooting pneumatic valves, actuators, sensors, electric motors, and other typical automation componentsExperience working with electrical distribution and control systems up to 480 VAC, 3PHAble to read and interpret ladder diagramsFamiliarity with NFPA 70E safe electrical work practices (such as Lockout / Tag out, etc.Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsPossesses up to date knowledge of energy efficiency, renewable energy and carbon offsettingSolid understanding of environmental regulations and complianceExperience with carbon account standards and in conducting carbon footprint analysis for different industriesEducation / Training / Certifications
Successful completion of a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering OR an Associate's Degree and minimum of 2 years of relevant experienceSeniority level
