Job Description

As a Security Professional - Armed Patrol Driver in Vanceboro, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more.

As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a visible presence. This is an armed and driving position, where you will interact with staff and visitors while delivering exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do :

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites

  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and / or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing appropriate protocols for an armed patrol position.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including both interior and perimeter areas, to help to deter unwanted activity and maintain a visible presence.
  • Monitor and report any suspicious behavior or incidents discovered during patrols, following reporting procedures as directed by Allied Universal and location guidelines.
  • Operate and carry authorized firearms in accordance with training, company policies, and regulatory requirements, maintaining a professional and controlled demeanor at all times.
  • Collaborate with other security-related personnel and law enforcement as necessary to support the overall security-related objectives of the location.
  • Participate in site-specific training and maintain all required certifications for armed patrol duties.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
  • Have at least six months of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
