Job Title : Senior Electrician

Salary : $85,000 – $110,000 per year (based on experience)

About the Role :
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrician to join our client's team in Danbury, CT. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining production electrical systems, instrumentation, and control equipment. You will collaborate closely with Engineering and Operations to support manufacturing systems, drive process improvements, and ensure optimal equipment performance. This position requires strong technical expertise in electrical and control systems, along with the ability to work independently on complex projects.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design, select, install, and maintain production instrumentation, wiring, and control equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical and control systems, including ATS, PLCs, communication networks, motor starters, VFDs, and electromechanical systems.
- Test, repair, calibrate, and modify equipment across electronic, vacuum, mechanical, and chemical systems.
- Collaborate with Engineering and third-party contractors on control equipment design and programming.
- Analyze and apply NEC500 and NFPA70 codes to evaluate and implement electrical designs.
- Install factory wiring in both general and classified (C1 D2) areas.
- Create redline “as-built” modifications and prototypes for process improvements.
- Support maintenance of pumps, boilers, heaters, HVAC, and related mechanical / electrical components.
- Maintain inventory of critical parts, order materials, and support spare parts management.
- Ensure compliance with Lock Out / Tag Out, Hot Work, and all safety / environmental procedures.
- Attend Engineering meetings to provide input on equipment updates and installations.
- Operate fabrication tools such as drills, conduit benders, and threading machines when needed.
Qualifications :
High School Diploma or GED required.Minimum 10 years of relevant hands-on electrical experience (production or industrial setting).E2 electrical license strongly preferred but not required.Technical certification or degree in Instrumentation, Controls Systems, or related field may substitute for some experience.Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical schematics for PLCs and power distribution.Strong knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70, and hazardous location requirements.Experience with calibration tools and vendor calibration software.Knowledge of HVAC systems repair and maintenance a plus.Ability to install conduit, wiring, plugs, switches, lights, and other factory electrical components.Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and report-writing skills.Knowledge of current trends and advancements in electrical and control systems.What We Offer :
