At SpaceWorks Enterprises, we specialize in next-generation high-speed flight systems, human and robotic spacecraft, as well as entry, descent & landing technologies. Our core competencies include conducting preliminary design of aerospace concepts, performing detailed multidisciplinary engineering analysis, developing commercial aerospace software, prototyping spacecraft hardware components, and conducting market and economic research within the aerospace industry. We serve clients from the Department of Defense, NASA, and the commercial space sector.
THE ROLE
SpaceWorks is seeking an experienced technical program manager to drive success and pursue growth in our business areas including innovative engineering design services, technical software, and cutting-edge hardware products. Our program managers play a key role alongside senior leadership as we strive to build and maintain professional relationships with government and commercial clients across the aerospace industry.
Our Program Managers interact directly with the customers we serve, write proposals and quotes to win new business, execute both contracted and internally-funded R&D projects within their assigned portfolio, and move our R&D projects toward production / sales.
A successful candidate will :
- Lead technical staff to deliver successful project outcomes in line with budget, schedule, and quality objectives
- Bring an ambitious approach to strengthening our corporate position and seeking opportunities for growth
- Capture new business opportunities through outward-facing engagement, relationship-building, and B&P
- Exhibit a "can do" and "want to" attitude - bringing an open-minded approach and a bias toward finding solutions
- Be interested in managing activities in one or more of the following focus areas :
Modeling, simulation, and design of high-speed flight systems operating across a variety of flight environments
Design, development, prototyping, and testing of aerospace electronics and avionics systemsDesign, development, prototyping, and testing of in-space and reentry system technologies and componentsA DAY IN THE LIFE
Monitor and manage multiple projects, which will include developing project milestones, communicating key program metrics, and supporting customer interactionsUtilize engineering experience to provide technical reviews for engineering teamsUse project management skills to organize budgets, schedules, and program plans to ensure successful project deliverablesInteract regularly with our company's senior leadership to communicate progress, goals, priorities, and resource needsDevelop technical documentation including proposals, white papers, progress reports, final reports, ICDs, and review meetingsLead Internal Research and Development (IRAD) initiatives to develop new technologies and / or position SpaceWorks for new business opportunitiesWHAT WE OFFER

Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Business, Project Management, or Operations Management (or substantially similar)3+ years of related aerospace industry experience while managing projects, budgets, resources, and timelinesSelf-starter with a passion for seeking new business development opportunities and building upon current projectsMust be a U.S. citizen and be immediately eligible to obtain a DoD Secret Security ClearanceSKILLS & SOFTWARE
