We’re seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Creative Account Manager / Creative Account Director to join our growing creative agency focused on pharmaceutical and life sciences clients.
This role is both strategic and hands-on, serving as the primary liaison between assigned clients and the agency while also acting as the project manager for cross-functional internal teams.
You’ll be responsible for day-to-day communication, project updates, resource planning, and keeping workstreams moving smoothly, ensuring all deliverables meet brand standards, compliance requirements, and timeline and budget expectations.
This is a key client-facing role that requires strong communication, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to translate complex feedback into actionable steps for internal creative, content, and quality teams.
Primary Responsibilities Serve as the primary agency point of contact for assigned clients, maintaining strong, solutions-oriented relationships Manage daily communication and coordination between clients and internal teams, including updates on project status, timelines, and deliverables Ensure that all deliverables meet client goals, brand strategy, compliance standards, and budget parameters Collect and translate client input and feedback into clear, actionable tasks for creative, content, and quality control teams Act as project manager for assigned clients and projects—driving timelines, budgets, traffic, and resourcing Coordinate cross-functional alignment and track ongoing workstreams across creative, copy, QA, and production Prepare for and support client meetings, including agenda creation, meeting documentation, and follow-up Manage submission workflows in medical, legal, and regulatory (MLR) review systems such as Veeva (or similar), including annotations, referencing, uploading, and submission tracking Attend client MLR meetings as needed and translate reviewer feedback into clear direction for internal teams Collaborate with the creative operations team to plan resourcing and team capacity as needed Coordinate with external stakeholders such as vendors and client-side MLR teams when applicable Proactively identify risks or bottlenecks and present solutions to keep projects on track Help identify opportunities to grow existing accounts through strategic thinking, upsell opportunities, or proactive support Desired Experience and Skills Demonstrated ability to manage multiple client relationships and concurrent workstreams Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a proactive and professional demeanor, and strong relationship management skills Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Experience navigating client review processes (including MLR or regulatory) Experience working closely with cross-functional teams including creative, copy, and quality assurance Ability to interpret and distill complex feedback, brand strategy, or regulatory guidance into next steps Solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to problem-solve under pressure Experience managing budgets, timelines, and resource planning Team player who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment Preferred Qualifications 3–6 years of experience in account management, client services, or project management role, preferably in a creative or marketing agency or life sciences company Experience working with pharmaceutical or life sciences clients Working knowledge of promotional review systems and requirements (e.g., Veeva PromoMats, fair balance, ISI, referencing standards) Experience with collaborative project management and collateral review systems such as, but not limited to, Monday, Workfront, Ziflow Prior experience attending MLR review meetings and coordinating post-review actions Comfortable operating in a startup or small agency environment Compensation :
