Job Overview :

Monitors department performance, develops, implements, and improves the operation of equipment. Acts as interface between maintenance technicians and engineering to ensure the maintenance of equipment in production. Implements an established maintenance program and maintains detailed maintenance records.

Essential Functions :

• Develops best practices to improve equipment capacity, quality, and reliability.
• Repairs, adjusts, and maintains production equipment, machinery, or instruments in cooperation with internal and external staff to ensure reliable operation and compliance with process specifications.
• Coordinates activities (PMs, TPM, problem solving) of third-party contractors, vendors, or suppliers related to maintenance.
• Investigates complex problems, analyzes root causes, and derives resolutions using the 8D Problem Solving Process.
• Develops and implements the plant's controls architecture focusing on process stability, system availability, and ease of operation and maintenance. Coordinates with Automation & control technicians to optimize, debug, and rewrite automation software programs.
• Ensures equipment uptime, MTTR, MTBF, and OEE by planning and accomplishing goals based on experience and judgment.
• Supports automation & control technicians in troubleshooting complex PLC equipment problems and performing system tests.
• Ensures technical equipment meets specifications and quality standards.
• Drives and implements cost reduction initiatives while maintaining quality standards.
• Develops and contributes to product and process quality testing methods.
• Develops planning standards, methods, and procedures to maintain robust PM and TPM processes, as well as containment and countermeasures for equipment downtime.
• Stays current with product specifications, engineering technology, and production processes; leads automation and control system updates.
• Proposes and manages medium-scale projects from inception to completion; may scope and manage large capital projects (>

$5M).

Qualifications

Required qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or relevant field. A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in an automotive environment, is required, including experience with :
