Material Control

A Material Control is responsible for controlling the movement of materials to and from the storage area, maintaining accurate information regarding the transactions necessary to maintain the inventory control database. Responsibilities also include the safe use of company equipment including forklifts, reach trucks, etc. All work duties are performed under the direction and supervision of the department supervisor.

Requirements :

• Company Certification in forklift driving
• Working in a team environment
• General knowledge of warehouse procedures and inventory control.
• Ability to read and understand general written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs. and / or lift and move heavy objects weighing more than 50 pounds with assistance from another employee.
• Possess knowledge of general shop rules, practices, and safety precautions.
• Ability and willingness to cooperate with co-workers and work as part of a team.
• Driver license- preferred

The work environment includes exposure to high decibels of noise, temperature, weather variations, and chemicals, which may include solvents, undercoating, paint, and caulking. Fast paced environment with moving equipment and motorized vehicles running at all times.
