Job Title : Screw Machine Operator - 2nd Shift

Job Description

Join our team as an automatics operator, where you will safely operate Acme equipment during the 2nd shift from 4pm to 2 : 30am, with an expectation of 40 - 50 hours per week. Your role will involve loading machines with bars, starting the machine, inspecting parts for conformance, and making adjustments over time to ensure high-quality output. Training and a development path will be provided to enhance your skills in operating ACME machines.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate Acme equipment.
• Load machines with bars and start the machine.
• Inspect parts to ensure they meet conformance standards.
• Make adjustments to machines to maintain quality.
• Utilize micrometers and calipers for precise measurements.
• Perform quality checks and documentation.
• Set up and troubleshoot machinery as needed.

Work Environment

You will work in a loud and dirty environment, typical of an automotive supplier. The plant's machinery requires oil or water-based lubricants, resulting in metal shavings and oil on the floors. Slip-resistant shoes are necessary, and while oil scrubbers are used periodically, the environment remains fairly dirty. Embrace the fast-paced nature of this role to thrive.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00 / hr.
