RN - Advanced Respiratory Unit

Job Summary

20 bed telemetry unit specializes in the care and management of patients on the Hospitalist service with Pulmonary and other medicine related illnesses.

This unit can take 2 chronically ventilated patients. We will provide a tailored orientation program to meet your learning needs. This unit has a foundation focused on teamwork, professionalism, respect and providing excellent patient care.

As a registered nurse, you are expected to consistently deliver the best in care and customer service and demonstrate respect, dignity, kindness and empathy in each encounter with our patients, their families, visitors, and with each other. As part of the health care team, RNs assume primary accountability for nursing coordination and provision of individualized care for patients of all ages. The registered nurse also utilizes delegation and critical thinking skills to provide quality service through a team oriented, collaborative approach to patient care.

Minimum Qualifications

Education : Graduate of school of professional nursing of an accredited college or graduate of an approved program eligible to sit for the VA licensure exam.

Experience : None.

Licensure / Certification : Currently licensed as Registered Nurse in Virginia or eligible to obtain Virginia RN licensure. Obtain CPR, and as needed ACLS, PALS, NRP certifications.

Other : Computer skills required for electronic medical record (EPIC). Successfully complete orientation and competency requirements. Meet essential job functions.
