Environmental Services Worker

Avera McKennan Hospital Worker Type : PRN Work Shift : As Needed (United States of America) Pay Range : $17.25 - $21.25

Position Highlights

Monday-Friday 7 : 00am-3 : 30pm; PRN as needed

Every other weekend and holiday

Duties : Garbage routes, medical waste, floor care, soiled pickup, and linen.

A Brief Overview

Responsible for maintaining a clean work environment in assigned area. Responsible for proper removal of trash, recycling, and regulated medical waste.

What You Will Do

• Maintains a clean / neat environment in working area. These areas may include, but not be limited to : patient rooms, offices, nurses' stations, lounges, hallways, bathrooms, kitchen areas, elevators, stairwells, and lobby areas.
• Participates in all cleaning activities as assigned. These may include, but not be limited to : cleaning walls, ceilings, vents, lights, baseboards, windows / glass and replacing light bulbs.
• Maintains clean / neat floor surfaces as assigned. This may entail, but not be limited to : dusting, buffing, scrubbing, strip / sealing, waxing, extracting, and vacuuming.
• Dispose of all trash in an appropriate manner including the pickup, boxing, shredding, and maintaining general cleanliness of trash receptacles.
• Participates in relocation of office and other general hospital furniture / equipment as necessary.

Required Education, License / Certification, or Work Experience : High School or GED Equivalent : or one to three months related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
