We are seeking a proactive and meticulous Accountant to join our Accounting team, responsible for the financial operations of both Socket Fiber and IdeaTek. This role is crucial for maintaining the financial health of both companies by ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records. The ideal candidate will be a versatile professional, capable of handling a diverse range of accounting functions while providing insightful financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
Location :
This position will be located in Sikeston, MO at our joint office. There may be some required travel to other office locations, up to 25%.
Key Responsibilities :
- Financial Reporting & Analysis : Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for both Socket Fiber and IdeaTek, ensuring compliance with GAAP. Conduct variance analysis and provide detailed financial reports to management.
- General Ledger Management : Manage the general ledger for both companies, including posting journal entries, performing account reconciliations, and ensuring proper documentation for all transactions.
- Billing & Collections : Oversee the billing process for fiber optic services, manage accounts receivable to ensure timely collections, and handle customer billing inquiries.
- Tax & Compliance : Assist in the preparation and filing of all federal, state, and local tax returns. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and assist with internal and external audits.
- Budgeting & Forecasting : Collaborate with departmental managers to assist with budget preparation and financial forecasting. Monitor and report on budget performance to help control costs and optimize profitability.
- Operational Support : Work closely with the operations teams at both companies to analyze project costs, track capital expenditures, and provide financial data to support operational efficiency.
Requirements :
Experience / Knowledge Required :
Education : A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Experience : Proven experience as an accountant, preferably within the telecommunications or technology industry.Technical Proficiency : Advanced knowledge of accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, SAP, NetSuite) and strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.Analytical Abilities : Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy.Communication : Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.Professionalism : High level of integrity, discretion, and a strong work ethic. A CPA or CMA certification is highly desirable.Preferences :
