Position Summary :
Apellis is entering into an exciting time with its first ever product launch in rare diseases three years ago, a second in 2023 in the retina space, and now a third recent launch in nephrology this year. The company has built a comprehensive set of services working with Patients, Caregivers, Healthcare Providers, Specialty Distribution Channels, and Market Access / Reimbursement teams in rare disease and will be doing the same work in the eye care market in anticipation for our next launch.
The VP, U.S. Value, Access & Policy is responsible for overseeing a cross-functional team that includes all payer and provider access strategy, policy insights & implications, strategic pricing & contracting, contract operations and government pricing, payer and provider account teams, and trade. Located in Waltham, MA reporting directly to the, EVP, Global Commercial, this individual will have a high visibility role within the organization with a new launch in 2025 and multiple future launches expected. This is a highly strategic senior level role and is expected to be able to influence across the matrix including the Apellis Executive Committee and occasionally the Board of Directors.

Base salary for this role will consider multiple factors, including but not limited to, candidate qualifications, relevant expertise, specialized skills, and industry experience in complement-targeted therapies.
The targeted base salary range for this position is $312000 - $468,000 per year. This range represents the base salary only and reflects Apellis' commitment to competitive compensation within the biopharmaceutical industry. The final salary offered may vary based on individual qualifications, business needs, and current market conditions.
