Construction Manager
Freese and Nichols is currently searching for an experienced Construction Manager in Rogers, Arkansas. In this role, you will act as a construction manager for heavy civil construction projects including roadway drainage, grading, surfacing, and bridges.
Responsibilities include :
- Manage the observation and inspection of ongoing construction work including material sampling and testing as well as measuring quantities.
- Review contractors work for compliance with contract documents and clarify contract documents for the contractor.
- Lead the development and management of change / field orders, updates to construction schedule, submittals, request for information (RFI), claims, pay requests, construction meetings, and closeout processes.
- Communicate with contractor about non-conforming work.
- Correspond with client, contractors, and other employees.
- Collaborate with design teams to facilitate responses to RFIs and submittals and / or construction issues.
- Read plans and specifications to ensure construction is in accordance with plans and specifications.
- Communicate with owner to understand owners needs and clarify owners objectives and relay information to Freese and Nichols and contractor.
- Conduct pre-bid and pre-construction conferences.
- Support the design phase process as assigned.
- Oversee field staff and the execution of their daily work.
- Support sales and marketing efforts.
Qualifications :
Bachelors degree in related field or equivalent experience.10+ years relevant experience in the construction field serving as a construction manager or superintendent.Fully proficient and ability to mentor others using project management information system (e.g. e-Builder, Buzzsaw, Site Manager, etc.).Good written and verbal communication skills.Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, etc.).Preferred Qualifications :
