System Integration Technician II (Automated Vehicle Engineering)

The company is currently seeking a System Integration Technician

The System Integration Technician reports directly to the System Integration Manager and performs integration of semi-complex systems that integrate Daifuku's Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs) and Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs) for use in manufacturing, industrial, warehousing, airports, and entertainment applications, among others.

Responsibilities

This position provides the opportunity to collaborate with our system integration engineers and design teams for AGV and AMR product integration. Ideal candidates will be strong critical thinkers with an analytical approach to problem solving and can engage in both technical and non-technical challenges. This position also participates in recommending ideas related to productivity improvement, cost reduction and improvement in customer satisfaction. Our technicians perform a series of customer facing tasks across the country. You will have the full support from the brightest engineers and team. Major Areas of Responsibility

• Perform system integration of AGVs, AMRs and peripheral equipment at customer locations.
• On-site system installation, testing, debugging, commissioning, acceptance testing and support.
• Troubleshoot electrical circuits and mechanical components; repair of AGVs and AMRs.
• Provide installation supervision.
• Create / Improve documentation and procedures for AGV / AMR preventative maintenance and system integration.
• Create daily field reports, including customer and team related activities and resolutions.
• Create maintenance logs of AGVs and AMRs.
• Create commissioning plans and checklists.
• Support customer service calls and cases.
• Provide operation and maintenance training to customers.
• Interfacing with customers.
• Collaboration with other teams on the project.
• Identify and raise issues that may impact project quality, scope, timing, and cost.
• Recommend and implement process improvement.
