Job Overview
We are seeking a new Lead Procurement Contract Negotiator to join our team at Ardmore Roderick. As a Lead Procurement Contract Negotiator , you join a team of infrastructure solutions experts working to solve our client’s ever evolving project needs. This opportunity will be located at a client location in downtown Chicago and could have potential to be hybrid depending on the specific client, project and team needs.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct market research, investigate best practices and analyze industry trends for specific procurement and contracting effortsPlan, coordinate, and execute major procurement eventsMonitor vendor performance using department compliance with strategic contracts and spend patterns to develop future procurement strategiesPerform highly specialized and complex procurementLead the evaluation of proposals of major Requests for Proposals (RFP) or strategic procurement / contract negotiations for professional services, strategic sourcing events and other types of procurementProvide procurement guidance and consultation to other staff members regarding complex procurement and contractual issuesInterpret and administer procurement ordinances and regulationsServe as a liaison with contractors, bureaus / departments, leadership and other agencies for contract negotiations, agreements and procurement activitiesDirect efforts and project plans in special projects related to procurement strategic goals and initiativesDevelop and deliver trainings and presentations on procurement and contracting topics to internal staff and external potential vendor audiencesAssist with the training of staff and client departments regarding procurement and contracting proceduresEnsure regulations and policies are followedPrepare complex reports, data analysis, best practices and recommendations on correspondences and documents to be presented to senior leadership, as requestedServe on committees as a liaison to answer commonly asked questions and serve as a contact personReview data entry, solicitations and contract related information using various applications / systemsRequired Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degreeFive years of procurement, negotiating principles or directly related experienceProficiency in Microsoft OfficeKnowledge of public procurement, contract development and negotiation principles and practices and knowledge of federal, state and county public procurement laws and proceduresSkill in developing and delivering trainings and presentations on procurement and contracting topicsAbility to monitor vendor performance, department compliance with strategic contracts and spend patterns to develop future procurement strategyAbility to prepare complex RFPs and contractsAbility to conduct market research, investigate best practices, and analyze industry trends for specific procurement and contracting effortsAbility to plan, coordinate and execute major procurement eventsAbility to provide process and technical guidance to a group of staffAbility to provide senior-level expertise to employeesAbility to serve as a reliable resource for other employees in an area of expertiseHave a team player mindset with the ability to communicate proficiently in written and verbal formsHave good to great organizational skillsPreferred Qualifications

Salary Range : $106,080-112,320, Ardmore Roderick is providing the compensation range that the company believes it might pay and / or offer for this position, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location.
