Job Description

HARVEST KITCHEN, a fresh and health-focused farm-to-table restaurant in the heart of Manhattan, is looking for a passionate and energetic Full-Time Harvest Expert. This role is ideal for someone who is knowledgeable about organic produce, supports sustainable food sourcing, and thrives in a fast-paced kitchen environment.As a Harvest Expert, you will ensure the highest quality ingredients are received, handled, and prepared, keeping the freshness and nutritional integrity of every meal we serve.

Job Responsibilities

• Receive and inspect produce deliveries from local farms and vendors
• Sort, clean, and store fruits, vegetables, and herbs according to food safety standards
• Assist the culinary team with produce preparation (washing, peeling, chopping, etc.)
• Maintain daily inventory records of incoming and outgoing ingredients
• Collaborate with chefs to ensure optimal ingredient use and minimal waste
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of the harvest prep area
• Educate team members on seasonal produce and sustainable sourcing practices
• Follow kitchen safety, sanitation, and hygiene procedures
