Overview
The Advanced Application Engineer plays a critical role in designing and deploying site-level applications for refrigeration and building automation systems. This position involves integrating new equipment, conducting hands-on testing, and resolving complex software and hardware issues. Success in this role requires creativity, technical precision, adherence to Honeywell and industry best practices, and a strong focus on safety and efficiency. You will report directly to the Multisite Engineering Manager.
LOCATION : This role is on a hybrid schedule (3 days in office, 2 days' work from home) and can be worked from either Independence, Ohio or Bentonville, Arkansas.

Responsibilities
Design and develop site-specific applications tailored to customer requirements for refrigeration and building automation.Integrate Honeywell and third-party equipment into Tridium Niagara-based platforms.Install, configure, and validate applications in the TCO2 lab or benchtop environments.Conduct in-depth troubleshooting of software and hardware systems.Interpret architectural, electrical, and mechanical drawings to ensure accurate design and implementation.Translate MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) design specifications into streamlined applications requiring minimal site-level programming.Collaborate with Honeywell RD&E, Programming teams, Offering Management, and end users to define project scope, provide technical support, and resolve issues.Support pilot installations remotely, including initial programming and handoff of Honeywell Multisite applications.Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to HVAC, refrigeration, and automation systems, including controllers and PLCs.Ensure all work complies with relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations.Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including user guides, technical bulletins, program files, and logs.Recommend improvements for technical processes and business operations.Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE : High School Diploma or GED4+ years of experience in refrigeration or building automation controls, including site-level application development, programming, installation, and troubleshooting with a proficiency in interpreting architectural, electrical, and mechanical drawings.We Value
