Industrial Electrician : Monticello, WI
Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced Electrician to join their fast-paced food manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for overseeing and performing advanced electrical work, including installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and upgrades of plant-wide electrical systems. The ideal candidate ensures compliance with safety standards, food-grade sanitary requirements, and production needs while providing technical leadership on projects and daily operations.
Key Responsibilities :
- Plan, install, and maintain 3-phase power distribution, motor control centers, and plant-wide electrical systems
- Lead troubleshooting, upgrades, and installations on high-speed production and packaging equipment
- Ensure all work adheres to NEC, NFPA 70E, OSHA, and local codes, including food plant-specific sanitary requirements
- Perform load calculations, short circuit analysis, and ensure proper circuit protection
- Specify, program, and troubleshoot PLCs, VFDs, and automation components in collaboration with controls / automation teams
- Provide technical leadership on capital projects, equipment installations, and plant expansions
- Coordinate with QA, Sanitation, and Production teams to minimize impact on food safety and production schedules
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for electrical failures and implement long-term corrective actions
- Maintain accurate documentation including electrical drawings, schematics, PM records, and panel schedules
Skills & Experience :
Education : Valid Master Electrician License, requiredExperience : 7+ years of industrial electrical experience, with at least 3 years in a food manufacturing or sanitary production environment, requiredKnowledge : Electrical theory, NEC, NFPA 70E, & industrial safety standards, required , PLC programming, VFD tuning, & industrial networking, strongly preferredFamiliarity : GMPs, HACCP, sanitary / hygienic conduit installations, & food-grade automation equipment, strongly preferredWhat We Offer :
