Minimum Qualifications

Requires at least a baccalaureate degree in the field. Please contact your Human Resources office for an evaluation of education / experience in lieu of the required minimum qualifications.

Preferred Qualifications

• At least 2 years of professional experience in HR operations, project coordination, or process improvement
• Experience in a higher education or public sector setting
• Familiarity with HR policies, compliance frameworks, and internal audit practices
• Demonstrated experience managing projects and tracking tasks to completion
• Experience with project management tools (e.g. Smartsheet, or similar)
• Experience in Microsoft Office Suite.

Position Summary

The Project Specialist for University Human Resources ( UHR ) Operations will play a critical role in supporting and improving human resources operations across the organization. This position is responsible for coordinating and facilitating a variety of UHR -focused initiatives including policy updates, compliance and audit support, task and project tracking, business process analysis, and process improvement efforts. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and skilled at facilitating multiple tasks simultaneously. They will collaborate with stakeholders across campus to ensure effective execution of UHR operational projects and initiatives. This position requires strong analytical and critical thinking skills, the ability to adapt to evolving priorities, and a commitment to fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
