This position is responsible for assisting in the Coproduct area working with both the Coproduct specialist and Packaging Specialist to ensure smooth operation of the area. Must be willing and able to take on various general labor duties as assigned as well as sanitation duties.
Individuals in this position must :
- Follow all plant safety policies and procedures. Be actively engaged in safety, participate in safety programs, engage in safety activities, perform risk assessments and demonstrate ownership as well as leadership in personal safety and the safety of other team members. Report all near hits, incidents, and any safety concerns.
- Ensure that KD's are constantly supplied to the Case packer machines.
- Ensure Trays are loaded in Tray Maker
- Assist with line rework.
- Know basic operation of pack room equipment and the ability to start, stop and clear stoppages for the Tray Maker and Case Packer.
- May be called to perform duties of rework, frozen inspection and strip out.
- Assist in the bulking process.
- May be called to work in the freezer making totes, cleaning up potato debris and assisting the tote room driver with general duties.
- Know and follow all lock out / tag out procedures for assigned work area.
- Maintain floors, catwalks, handrails and other walkways in a clean and safe manner.
- Perform sanitation activities.
- Follow good housekeeping practices and GMP's.
- Participation in AMD
- Other duties may be assigned

Must meet Sanitation qualification requirements for the area.Understand and follow lock out / tag out procedures.Read, understand, and obey all plant rules, GMP's and practice safety as outlined in the employee handbook.Possess a working knowledge of how the equipment works. Including but not limited to : Tray Maker, Case Packer, Pallet Jacks, conveyors, shakers, x-rays, shrink tunnel, metal detector, dishwasher, case coders, case weigher, barrel dumper, compactor, etc...Observes safety and security procedures; reports potentially unsafe conditions; uses equipment and materials properly.Be knowledgeable of the potential hazards and safety procedures associated with the task being performed.Must be able to balance teamwork and individual responsibilities.Must be able to work well under pressure.Have the ability and willingness to follow directions.Read, understand, and obey all plant rules and practice safety as outlined in the employee handbook.Effectively communicate verbally and in writing. Ability to understand instructions and follow directions.
