The Opportunity :

Calling all ag marketing students : if you're digital-savvy, driven, and eager to dive into a week of hands-on learning, networking, and professional growth, this fast-paced internship is your chance to sharpen your marketing skills! Use your J-term to get ahead and work alongside experienced mentors, industry experts, and URUS leadership!

To build upon the success of the Dairy Consulting Experience (DCE) program, this Marketing Internship will be project-oriented to increase exposure in the market and target the next generation of cattle professionals! This internship is an excellent opportunity for students interested in gaining practical marketing experience in the agricultural sector under mentorship.

Projects :

Create a Visual Content Library :

Capture the excitement of hands-on learning by building a dynamic library of photos and videos showcasing participants in action with industry pros.

Spotlight Student Success :

Collect powerful testimonials from students throughout the week, highlighting their experiences to amplify the impact and success of the DCE program.

Design a Social Media Kit :

Partner with your mentor to dream up a buzz-worthy social media kit for all URUS companies, bringing your designs to life using the vibrant content you capture during the week.

Feature Our Volunteers :

Shine a light on URUS employee volunteers by documenting their contributions and creating engaging stories to be featured in the content library and social media kit.

Write a Standout Post-Event Blog :

Wrap up the week by crafting a compelling blog post that captures the essence of the DCE program, featuring key moments, testimonials, and standout stories that grab industry attention.

Education & Experience

Currently pursuing a degree in agriculture, agricultural communications, marketing, or related field.

Experience in and passion for the agriculture industry and its future.

Willing to travel to Madison, WI January 5-9th, 2025 at the URUS company headquarters.

All expenses will be paid by URUS.

This internship is unpaid.

Participate in all DCE events and networking opportunities.

Ideal Candidate :

An ideal candidate would be a marketing enthusiast with fresh and trendy ideas. This candidate needs to be able to adapt quickly and think on their feet.

Digital savvy

Written and verbal communication skills

Ability to juggle multiple projects under deadlines

Knowledge in current social media trends and ideas to implement

This intern will support various marketing initiatives designed to promote the Dairy Consulting Experience (DCE). What is DCE and why are we promoting it? This competitive one-week all expenses paid experience allows participants to work directly with URUS' experts that influence hundreds of thousands of cows around the world. Through a mix of classroom and on-farm learning, participants will learn how to understand applying the theories to real world challenges and get to know our passionate team of advisors and our businesses for future career opportunities.
