As Director of Platform Engineering, you'll shape the future of trading infrastructure for Interest Rate Derivatives, Commodities, and Market Data. This role offers the opportunity to lead strategic technology initiatives that directly impact trading performance, regulatory compliance, and platform scalability.

GENERAL FUNCTION :

The Director of Platform Engineering will lead a team of ~10 platform and data engineers responsible for building and maintaining the technology platforms that support Commercial products, specifically Interest Rate Derivatives, Commodities, and Market Data. This role requires deep technical expertise, strong people leadership, and the ability to align engineering execution with business strategy.

KEY FUNCTIONS :

• Lead platform engineering teams supporting interest rate derivatives, commodities, and market data.
• Drive modernization of legacy systems into cloud-native, scalable platforms with near-zero downtime expectations.
• Implement modern engineering practices including CI / CD, observability, and infrastructure-as-code.
• Ensure platform resiliency and performance to meet near 100% uptime expectations.
• Collaborate with business, risk, compliance, and operations teams to deliver regulatory-compliant solutions.
• Manage talent development, performance reviews, and succession planning.
• Manage vendor relationships.
• Execute insourcing strategies and knowledge transfer plans.

The base salary for this position is reflective of the range of salary levels for all roles within this pay grade across the U.S. Individual salaries within this range will vary based on factors such as role, relevant skillset, relevant experience, education and geographic location. In addition to the base salary, this role is eligible to participate in an incentive compensation plan, with any such payment based upon company, line of business and / or individual performance.
