Job Title : Senior Network Security Engineer – Firewall & VPN

Location : Columbus, OH

About the Role

As a Senior Network Security Engineer, you will lead the design, implementation, and optimization of Next Generation Firewall (NGFW) solutions to protect ODRC's network infrastructure. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure secure, scalable, and high-performance connectivity across on-premises, cloud, and remote environments.

Responsibilities

• Firewall Architecture & Design : Lead the design and deployment of NGFW solutions tailored to business and security requirements. Ensure alignment with industry best practices for security, availability, and performance.
• Policy Management & Threat Mitigation : Review and update firewall policies to address emerging threats and vulnerabilities. Collaborate with security analysts to ensure proactive threat detection and response.
• VPN Configuration & Troubleshooting : Design, configure, and maintain IPSEC VPN tunnels for secure communication across remote offices, third-party partners, and cloud platforms. Troubleshoot and resolve VPN connectivity and performance issues.
• Advanced Network Segmentation & Routing : Implement Virtual Routing and Forwarding (VRF) to enhance network segmentation and isolation. Configure and manage Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) for efficient and scalable routing.
• Cross-Team Collaboration : Work closely with IT, cloud, and security teams to ensure seamless integration of firewall solutions. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.
