Purchaser / Senior Buyer Lighting Division

Salary : $80,000 - $100,000

Location : North Richland Hills, TX (Fort Worth)

Position Overview : Senior Buyer / Lead Purchasing Specialist is responsible for overseeing the procurement of raw materials and supplies to support the production operations of the company's Lighting division. Reporting directly to executive leadership, this role works closely with a cross-functional team that includes Warehouse, Production, Engineering, Sales, and Customer Service.

The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative, interdisciplinary environment and possess a strong attention to detail. This role is critical in ensuring efficient procurement processes, vendor performance, cost control, and supply chain reliability.

Key Responsibilities :

• Oversee purchasing activities for raw materials and supplies to support production.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Production, and Warehouse teams to resolve procurement-related issues.
• Manage vendor relationships to ensure : on-time delivery, shipment and paperwork accuracy, resolution of material or invoicing disputes.
• Continuously evaluate and improve the supplier base : source and onboard new vendors, improve support from existing suppliers, address performance issues with executive leadership, including potential vendor discipline or removal.
• Collaborate with Product Management to identify and implement BOM (Bill of Materials) cost reductions.
• Use data-driven decision-making to maintain appropriate : minimum stock levels, reorder points, reorder quantities.
• Track and improve key procurement metrics : time from requisition to order, order consolidation, competitive bidding and cost validation.
