Child Advocate Swing Shift (Full Time)

Who We Are :

Isabel's House, Crisis Nursery of the Ozarks, opened its doors on June 25th, 2007 .

Mission statement : To provide immediate refuge for children, ages birth to 12 years, whose families are in crisis. By partnering with families and the community, we will strengthen families and prevent child abuse and neglect.

What We Do :

• Child abuse and neglect is preventable .
• Isabel's House provides 24 / 7 / 365 care for the community's most vulnerable children when the family is in crisis.
• Families who bring their children to Isabel's House partner with our team of Family Advocates to create a plan specific to each situation.
• Our team works to connect parents and caregivers with the right resources to address their crises and build up the family.

Since opening, we have cared for more than 5,000 children and served more than 2,000 families.

What You'll Do :

Isabel's House seeks individuals dedicated to preventing child abuse and neglect while providing a warm and loving home for children during their stay. Team members at Isabel's House provide residential childcare for children including engaging with children during curriculum and play, transportation to school and activities, preparing and participating in family style meals, documentation, cleaning / caring for the facility and other childcare related duties.

Child Advocate (Direct Care) positions include 16-24 hours per week PT, 32-40 hours per week FT, including working rotating weekends. Hours are 1 : 45pm - 10 : 15pm. Pay Rate is 15 / hr.

Must be 21 years old. At least one year of experience with children is preferred. Must be willing and able to obtain a Class E Driver's License upon hire to transport children.
