Maintenance Technician III

Bio-Rad is looking for a Maintenance Technician III to support the manufacturing plant that produces process chromatography resins, liquid buffers, monomer solutions, oils, and other specialized life science products. The individual will be part of the Manufacturing Science and Technology group that consists of a multidisciplinary team of Scientists and Engineers working on developing innovative technologies and continuous improvement projects for the chemical manufacturing site.

The individual will collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders to determine Bio-Rad's infrastructure needs and product specifications. Your work ensures the various pieces of Bio-Rad's infrastructure (Process equipment, instrumentation, and automation) fit together perfectly and keep our equipment and manufacturing process moving along smoothly for a seamless user(internal / external) experience.

Equipment includes glass-lined reactors with heating systems, semi-automated fill lines, air classifiers, wet sizing units, inline mixing systems, and semi-automated dispense systems among various others. Instrumentation includes control valves, temp, pressure, speed transmitters. Automation systems include - Allen Bradley RS Logix, Control / Compact Logix, Automation direct HMI, and PLCs.

How You'll Make An Impact :

• Performs inspections, troubleshooting, testing, and repairs on plant machines, equipment, and structures.
• Conducts preventative maintenance and suggests improvements to maintenance processes.
• Sets up and operates tools and diagnostic equipment for maintenance tasks.
• Interprets and works from blueprints, sketches, layouts, wiring diagrams, and specifications.
• Assists with production equipment setup and may support equipment installation and startup under supervision.
• Operates within quality and safety standards and documents work using CMMS.
• Provides support to engineering, including in parts and process evaluations and continuous improvement efforts.
• Provide basic training to junior personnel.
• May coordinate providers of contracted repairs of equipment, cleaning, security, and HVAC mechanical.
• DevelopS equipment maintenance SOPs for new production and / or facility / utility equipment and updates maintenance SOPs as required.

Compensation : The estimated base salary range for this position is $66,000 to $90,800 at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors. This position is eligible for a variable annual bonus, which is dependent upon achievement of your individual objectives and Company performance.
