Legal Assistant – Litigation Full Time
Our firm is a full-service business law firm with a tradition of providing superior, ethical, and professional legal services, handling complex litigation, corporate, and transactional matters. We are seeking an experienced Legal Assistant with a strong demonstrated background in Florida commercial litigation, contracts, and real estate to join our team.
Qualifications & Requirements :
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Florida (within the last 5 years) as a litigation Assistant .
- Demonstrated recognition of Florida legal terminology .
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook .
- Demonstrated proficiency in Adobe Acrobat .
- Ability to learn, adapt to, and use multiple computer programs simultaneously .
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage competing deadlines.
- Strong initiative and ability to work independently without supervision.
- Ability to take direction from multiple attorneys and other staff members.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to keep multiple tasks moving toward completion.
- Ability to follow through on multiple incomplete tasks until they are fully resolved, without prompting.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills , with excellent grammar and professional tone.
- Demonstrated exceptional attention to detail .
- Professional interpersonal skills for interacting with clients, courts, and colleagues.
- Ability to collaborate with others in a professional, organized, and efficient manner.
- Ability to lift boxes up to 20 pounds as needed.
- Must be able to walk to and from downtown courthouse (1 mile).
- Background check required.
