At Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, we are actively seeking a Registered Nurse House Manager to oversee hospital operations and nursing services during evening, night, weekend, and holiday shifts.
This position is perfect for RNs in charge nurse or nurse manager roles who want to lead without managing direct reports and who enjoy the dynamic pace of after-hours operations. You’ll gain visibility across a quaternary care, Level I Trauma Center while collaborating closely with senior leaders—and here’s the best part : no late-night check-ins or follow-up emails when your shift ends. Key Responsibilities
Manage hospital-wide nursing operations during nights, weekends, and holidays
Serve as the administrative resource and escalation point for inpatient units and hospital departments
Collaborate with clinical teams and hospital leaders to ensure safe, high-quality care delivery
Think critically and act decisively to navigate unexpected operational challenges
Minimum Qualifications
Education : BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) or MSN (Master of Science in Nursing)
Experience : Minimum 5 years of clinical RN experience with progressive leadership responsibilities
Licensure : Active RN license in Pennsylvania or multi-state license via Nurse Licensure Compact
