This position will support\nthe Valley- West Region. The Valley - West Region is currently comprised of UCLA\nHealth Calabasas Imaging Center, UCLA Health Westlake Village Women’s Imaging\nCenter, UCLA Health Encino Interventional and Imaging Center and UCLA Thousand\nOaks Primary & Specialty Care. This position participates in on-call, holiday,\nand weekend schedules, prepared by the manager and supports one of the medical\ncenters in the UCLA Health system. Additionally, participation in rotating\nshifts is required, as needed.

In this role, you will :

- Provide age-appropriate assessment and\n interventions in order to meet the needs of patients and families served
- Obtain, evaluate and use information from\n the patient requisition, medical records, referring physician and\n correlate with acquired images
- Use cognitive sonographic skills, to\n identify and differentiate anatomy and pathology
- Use independent judgement to produce\n diagnostic images of human anatomy utilizing diagnostic ultrasound systems\n for our referring providers and our interpreting physicians
- Extend courtesy to our patients, family\n members, visitors and co-workers through our “World Class Practices”\n Service Standards

One to two years experience within the\n hospital / acute care settingMust maintain active RDMS certification in\n one specialty, i.e. Abdomen or OB-GYNGraduate of CAAHAP accredited ultrasound\n program is strongly preferredSalary Range : $58.74 - $77.50 Hourly\n \n \n \n
Senior Sonographer (Advancement into Senior Sonographer job\nclassification will be assessed after 6 months with UCLA Health) :

Minimum of four years of prior experience\n within the hospital / acute care settingMust maintain Active RDMS certification in\n three specialties : Abdomen, OB-GYN and RVTProficient in Abdomen, OB / Gyn, Pediatric and\n Vascular Sonography. Additionally, proficiency in interventional\n proceduresGraduate of CAAHAP accredited ultrasound\n school is strongly preferredSalary Range : $65.55 - $79.93 Hourly\n \n \n \n \n
Salary Range (Staff through Senior) : $58.74 - $79.93 Hourly

Staff Ultrasound Technologist
\n \n
At least 1 year of acute care (hospital) experience – required\n
RDMS credential in one specialty (Abdomen or OBGYN) – required\n
Experience in Breast Ultrasound Imaging – strongly preferred\n \n
Senior Ultrasound Technologist
\n \n
4 years of prior acute care (hospital) experience – required (Advancement into Senior job classification will be assessed after 6 months with UCLA Health)\n
RDMS credential in Abdomen, OBGYN and RVT – required\n
Experience in Breast Ultrasound Imaging – strongly preferred\n \n
General Requirements
\n \n
BLS / CPR Certificate - required\n
Graduate of CAAHAP ultrasound program – strongly preferred\n
AAS or higher in Medical Sonography – preferred\n
RDMS (AB or OBGYN) – minimum requirement\n
Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, visitors, physicians, nurses, staff and others in a professional and courteous manner\n
Ability to accept and carry out oral and written instructions accurately\n
Ability to employ independent decision making, prioritize work, while handling multiple tasks to completion within allotted time\n
Ability to show attention to detail, accuracy and thoroughness\n
Basic typing skills to input various data into RIS and HIS Information systems.\n
Knowledge of medical terminology with the ability to distinguish between types of procedures within the assigned department(s) and medical diagnoses\n \n
