Gear up for your role : You will lead and mentor a team of GL accountants, ensuring accurate and timely financial results, driving success through effective month-end close management, and delivering valuable insights to support company growth. As a key member of our finance leadership team, you will oversee financial transactions while advancing the development, automation, and governance of accounting policies and procedures.
How you will drive success :
Lead, supervise, and develop a team of GL accountants with hands-on guidance, training, and growth opportunities aligned to company and department goals.Direct the month-end and quarter-end close processes, ensuring deadlines are consistently achieved.Ensure all close activities related to ASC 842 lease accounting are executed accurately, timely, and documented in accordance with GAAP.Oversee the full-cycle accounting process, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and completeness.Analyze financial data to identify variances and trends, providing actionable recommendations for cost control and revenue optimization in partnership with FP&A.Manage internal and external audits, providing accurate and timely responses to inquiries.Leverage the Workday Financials platform to automate processes, enabling the team to focus on analysis, exceptions, and continuous innovation.Build, document, and optimize accounting policies to improve governance, efficiency, and internal controls.Foster a collaborative, high-performance work environment that promotes professional growth and engagement.Under the hood what you'll need :
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.Prior supervisory or leadership experience required.Minimum of 4 years of progressive accounting experience in a high-volume environment.Strong technical knowledge of GAAP with demonstrated experience in ASC 842 lease accounting.Experience managing a high volume of data, accruals, adjustments, and reconciliations.Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, INDEX / MATCH).Workday Financials experience strongly preferred.Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and both written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines.Equal employment opportunity : We're proud to be an equal opportunity employer - and celebrate our employees' differences, including race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, and veteran status.
