What This Job Involves
As a Facilities Engineering Electrician at JLL, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable building operations while working on complex commercial electrical systems including lighting, power distribution, building automation, and emergency power systems and ensuring compliance with all safety codes and regulations. This comprehensive electrical engineering role combines technical expertise with facilities operations excellence, requiring you to maintain and repair all electrical systems including lighting, power, motors, and controls while inspecting and monitoring equipment, panels, transformers, and building automation systems. You will play a crucial role in JLL's commitment to optimal building performance by diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical issues using testing equipment, handling emergencies including power outages and system failures, and supporting projects including upgrades, tenant improvements, and new installations while working in a dynamic environment supporting critical facility infrastructure and contributing to exceptional service for our tenants and stakeholders.
What Your Day-to-Day Will Look Like
- Maintain and repair all electrical systems including lighting, power, motors, and controls while ensuring optimal performance
- Inspect and monitor equipment, panels, transformers, and building automation systems for proper operation
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues using testing equipment while ensuring quick resolution of problems
- Handle emergencies including power outages and system failures with rapid response and effective solutions
- Support projects including upgrades, tenant improvements, and new installations while maintaining quality standards
- Ensure compliance with safety codes including OSHA, NEC, and local standards while maintaining safe work environment
- Document and report all maintenance activities and system performance while maintaining accurate records
- Work flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and on-call rotation to support critical facility operations.
Required Qualifications
Valid Washington electrical license (Journeyman, Plant Journeyman, or LME) with High School Diploma for comprehensive electrical work3+ years commercial electrical experience with building systems including complex electrical installations and maintenanceTechnical proficiency in troubleshooting, electrical codes (NEC), and testing equipment for accurate diagnostics and repairsComputer skills including CMMS software and ability to read electrical schematics for effective system managementPhysical capabilities to lift 50 lbs, work at heights, and in confined spaces for comprehensive facility maintenanceFlexible schedule availability including evenings, weekends, and on-call rotation for emergency response capabilitiesUnderstanding of electrical systems maintenance and repair including lighting, power, motors, and controlsKnowledge of equipment, panels, transformers inspection and monitoring with building automation systems understanding.Preferred Qualifications
Building automation systems (BAS) and HVAC controls experience for integrated facility systems managementExperience with complex commercial electrical systems including power distribution and emergency power systemsKnowledge of safety codes compliance including OSHA, NEC, and local standards with safety work environment maintenanceBackground in electrical issues diagnosis and troubleshooting using testing equipment with quick problem resolutionExperience handling emergencies including power outages and system failures with rapid response capabilitiesKnowledge of projects support including upgrades, tenant improvements, and new installations with quality standardsUnderstanding of maintenance activities documentation and system performance reporting with accurate record keepingExperience in dynamic environment supporting critical facility infrastructure with optimal building performance contribution.Location : On-site
