RuggedIntuitiveNo B.S.We are seeking a skilled and experienced individual with 5+ years of engineering experience to
join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in product testing and
validation, with the ability to develop and execute comprehensive test plans to ensure products
meet and exceed customer and company requirements. This role involves close collaboration
with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to
maintain the highest standards of product quality and performance. You'll be joining an
awesome and highly motivated team of Product Managers and Engineers who pride themselves
on building great products and getting after it outside of work!
Key Responsibilities
Test Execution : Perform a variety of product tests, including durability, performance,and environmental testing, following established test plans and procedures.Prototype and Component Testing : Conduct hands-on testing of prototypes andindividual components to identify potential design issues.Data Analysis and Reporting : Collect, analyze, and interpret test data. Preparedetailed reports and communicate findings to the engineering and design teams.DFMEA and DVP&R Support : Participate in DFMEA (Design Failure Mode EffectsAnalysis) sessions and assist with the development and execution of DVP&R (DesignValidation Plan Report) plans.Problem Resolution : Troubleshoot and investigate test failures to help identify the rootcause and support the team in developing corrective actions.Test Fixture Support : Assist with the design, setup, and maintenance of test fixturesand equipment, utilizing various shop tools and equipment as needed.Collaboration : Work with cross-functional teams to ensure testing activities align withoverall product development goals and timelines.Continuous Improvement : Provide input on improving testing processes andmethodologies to increase efficiency and accuracy.Qualifications &Skills
Education : Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.Experience : A minimum of 5 years of experience in product testing and validation, preferably in a fast-paced environment.Technical Skills :
Familiarity with various testing methodologies, such as durability, performance, and environmental testing.Hands-on experience with test equipment and data acquisition systems.Knowledge of DFMEA and DVP&R principles.Proficiency in analyzing and interpreting complex test data.Practical skills in a shop environment, including the use of common machining tool (manual mills and lathes), welding equipment, 3D printers, and general hand tools.Soft Skills :
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.Excellent verbal and written communication skills for presenting technical informationclearly.The ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively to meet projectdeadlines.Additional Requirements :
