The State of Tennessee is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to fill the position of Environmental Scientist 1 in the Department of Environment and Conservation, Air Pollution Control Division, located in Nashville, TN.
Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree in environmental science, physical sciences, ecology, sustainability, life sciences, environmental health, pre-medicine, engineering, or other acceptable science or natural resource-related field.

Overview
Under immediate supervision, the Environmental Scientist 1 is responsible for learning professional environmental, natural resources, sustainability, environmental assistance program, radiological health, and / or similar science-related program work of routine difficulty.

Tools and Equipment
The Environmental Scientist 1 will be required to use various tools and equipment, including personal computers, telephones, printers, watercraft, motor vehicles, sampling and monitoring equipment, radiation detection meters, and laboratory equipment.
