Job Description & Requirements Specialty : Registered Respiratory Therapist Discipline : Allied Health Professional Start Date : 11 / 16 / 2025 Duration : 13 weeks 48 hours per week Shift : 12 hours, nights Employment Type : Travel Title : Respiratory Therapist (RRT – NICU / PICU) Location : Baltimore, MD Duration : 13 Weeks Shift : Night | 4x12-Hour (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 30 AM) | Every Other Weekend | No On-Call Job Summary : An exciting opportunity for a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join the NICU / PICU respiratory team at a leading Level I Trauma and teaching hospital. The role focuses on providing specialized respiratory care for neonatal and pediatric patients in critical care environments. Responsibilities : Deliver advanced respiratory care to neonates and pediatric patients in the NICU and PICU settings. Perform procedures including intubation, suctioning, ventilator management, and ECMO protocol support. Assist in high-risk deliveries, neonatal transports, and care of patients requiring complex respiratory interventions such as jet or oscillating ventilation. Administer aerosol and oxygen therapies, and manage medication delivery systems. Monitor patient responses, interpret ABG results, and document accurately in the EPIC charting system. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to optimize patient outcomes in a Level 4 NICU environment. Requirements : Minimum 2 years of recent NICU / PICU experience (first-time travelers with strong skills may be considered). Active RRT license and Maryland or Compact state license required. Certifications : BLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS required. EPIC charting experience preferred. Experience in trauma, pediatric critical care, and ventilator management preferred.
