Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Engineer IV to lead the design, development, and validation of DC fast charging systems for battery electric machinery. This role involves hands-on testing, compliance verification, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure safe, efficient, and high-performance charging solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and document requirements for DC fast charging systems in compliance with UL, ISO, IEC, and other relevant standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of charging systems into electric machinery.
- Lead design failure mode and effects analysis (DFMEA), hazard analysis, fault tree analysis, and functional safety assessments.
- Develop and execute verification and validation test plans for charging systems.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues using advanced lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, power analyzers, and thermal cameras.
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in electric vehicle charging.
Qualifications
Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with 4+ years of relevant experience, or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with 7+ years of relevant experience.Hands-on experience with charging systems or converter / inverter products.Strong understanding of power electronics including DC-DC converters and AC-DC inverters.Proficiency in lab instrumentation and data acquisition tools.Familiarity with compliance standards (UL, IEC, ISO) for charging systems.Experience with automated test systems.Knowledge of EMI / EMC testing, thermal design, and environmental validation.Exposure to CANape or similar tools for system diagnostics.Requirements
