The Electrification & Energy Solutions division (E+ES) is focused on advanced power systems development with emphasis on electrification to provide sustainable power solutions to our customers. The E+ES Battery technology team leads the design and validation of all the new battery systems.

Job Description :

The Electrical Design Engineer for the Fuel Cell Development team will be responsible for designing and validating electrical systems, selecting components, wire sizing, troubleshooting issues and supporting prototype builds. This is a hands-on role that will have the opportunity to drive innovation in a fast paced environment, supporting the design, testing and integration of new technologies to be used across a wide variety of Caterpillar applications.

What You Will Do :

• Design and develop electrical systems and subsystems for electrified platforms.
• Select hardware components to meet performance, cost, and reliability requirements.
• Perform wire sizing calculations and develop harness specifications in accordance with applicable standards and safety requirements.
• Generate and maintain electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and bill of materials (BOM).
• Support prototyping, integration, and troubleshooting during builds and testing.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with mechanical, software, and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless system integration.
• Conduct root cause analysis and resolve electrical issues during development and production.
• Ensure designs comply with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and internal quality processes.

What You Have :

Degree Requirement : Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field).

Summary Pay Range : $95,640.00 - $143,520.00
