Facility :

This facility is a regional tertiary referral center with 330 beds and is designated as a Level I Adult and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center. The emergency department is brand new, state-of-the-art with 40 beds and serves a large catchment area with a full complement of specialists and subspecialists available for consultation.

Opportunity : Emergency Medicine Physician

Join a regional Emergency Medicine team based in Duluth with the opportunity to work in both urban and rural environments through a hub-and-spoke care model. This position offers variety in your practice by working approximately half of your shifts in Duluth and half at a subset of six regional EDs, with flexible scheduling among teammates.

Job Details :

• Annual ED volume of 42K patients / year in Duluth's main facility
• 8 and 9 hour shifts in Duluth with double & triple physician coverage plus APP support
• Regional sites include Aurora, Virginia, Moose Lake, Sandstone, Deer River, and Superior WI
• Regional sites have annual ED volumes of 3.5K-12K patients / year (all Level IV trauma)
• Flexible scheduling between Duluth and regional sites
• Full spectrum of emergency medicine care including pediatrics
• Opportunity to teach family medicine residents and medical students if interested

• Strong nursing team with excellent retention
• Excellent behavioral health resources including psychiatry consult service
• Telemedicine support (stroke, psychiatry, NICU, hospice, cardiology)
• BC / BE in Emergency Medicine required

Compensation :

Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included. Additional compensation may be available in the form of bonuses, quality incentives or production-based compensation.
