Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) - Contract

Location : Plano, TX

Schedule : Monday–Friday, 8 : 00 AM – 5 : 00 PM (no evenings or weekends)

Assignment Length : 13 weeks (Oct 8 – Dec 31, 2025 with extensions and / or perm possible)

About the Role

We’re seeking an experienced Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join an outpatient wellness clinic in Plano. This is a contract role supporting one provider with direct patient care and clinic flow.

Key Responsibilities

Room patients, record medical histories and obtain vital signs

Perform phlebotomy, specimen collection and point-of-care testing

Administer injections and immunizations (per scope of practice)

Assist provider with exams and procedures

Document in EMR accurately and efficiently

Provide patient education, follow-up instructions and care coordination

Maintain exam rooms, supplies and infection control standards

Qualifications

Active CMA certification or LPN license (required)

1+ year of experience in outpatient, primary care or occupational health preferred

Current BLS with AHA certification

EMR proficiency; strong organizational and communication skills

Phlebotomy and immunization experience required
