Airport Design Commissioning Policy Development
Our Airports Team is taking airport design to the next level. From roadway to runway or full terminal design, we'll take your career to new heights. Your opportunity under general direction of the Sr. Commissioning Manager, initiates and coordinates the development and implementation of the Airport Commissioning Policy for construction and capital improvement projects. Assists in the administration of each phase of commissioning (Cx) and ensures compliance with contract requirements. Accepts and reviews project "as-built" plans for compliance and accuracy as a part of project closeout and Certificate of Occupancy (C.O.) issuance. Fosters interdepartmental and stakeholder relationships through effective communication and monitors Cx consultant activities for compliance.

Your Capabilities and Credentials
Knowledge of commissioning methods, materials, equipment and contractual requirements of public works construction projects. Knowledge of national, state, and local zoning ordinances, codes and regulations. Knowledge of cost and scheduling control techniques and ability to apply same to all commissioning projects. Knowledge of professional services procurement processes. Ability to monitor third party Cx consultants in a manner conducive to the timely and efficient completion of work. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing. Ability to influence third party Cx consultants to comply with Airport Board rules, regulations and procedures relating to airport commissioning projects.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, construction management or a related field. Five (5) years professional-level experience in construction management and / or commissioning. Any equivalent combination of education and / or experience may be substituted for the above. Possession of a valid Class C driver's license. Certified Building Commissioning Professional desired.
Efforts : Works in an office environment and may visit construction sites. Uses near-visual acuity in reading design drawings, submittals, specifications and commissioning data and reports. Uses keyboard devices and a computer monitor. Uses reasoning in problem solving and analysis. Exchanges Cx project information by correspondence, email, telephone and in person.

Pay Transparency : In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.
