Job Description : A state agency in Montgomery, AL is seeking a C# Developer to design, develop, and maintain secure, high-performance applications supporting public health programs. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented developer who enjoys solving complex problems, collaborating across teams, and improving systems that directly impact community well-being.
You'll work on a variety of full-stack development projects, from building new functionality to maintaining existing web-based systems. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and committed to delivering reliable, user-focused solutions in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Full-Stack Development : Design, develop, and maintain software applications using C#, ASP.NET MVC, .NET Core, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, XML, and JSON .
- Database Development : Write and optimize T-SQL stored procedures, queries, and triggers in Microsoft SQL Server.
- System Enhancement : Design and implement new functionality within existing systems, and troubleshoot, debug, and optimize code to improve performance.
- API Integrations : Create and manage integrations using RESTful APIs and other data exchange methods.
- Version Control : Use Git or other version control tools for source management and collaboration.
- Testing & Quality Assurance : Develop and execute software test plans; identify, document, and resolve issues to ensure system reliability.
- Documentation : Translate business requirements into detailed technical documentation and ensure accuracy through validation and testing.
- User Support : Provide Tier 1 support by resolving technical issues, managing user access, and responding to help desk tickets promptly.
- Collaboration : Partner with cross-functional teams as a subject matter expert on system capabilities and technical improvements.
- Maintenance & Monitoring : Monitor systems, diagnose issues, and recommend long-term solutions to enhance performance and scalability.
Required Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of professional experience in software development using C#, ASP.NET MVC, and .NET Core .Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, XML, and JSON .Experience developing and maintaining databases using Microsoft SQL Server .Demonstrated ability to analyze, design, test, and document software systems across all stages of the SDLC.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems , or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Git or other version control systems.Strong SQL scripting and performance tuning skills.Experience designing and implementing API integrations .Hands-on experience troubleshooting, debugging, and enhancing existing software.Familiarity with business process analysis , technical documentation , and software testing procedures .Excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.Why Apply
