We are seeking a highly motivated, technically driven Project Engineer with deep experience to lead critical initiatives focused on military gearbox and pump casting mitigations, product engineering, and supplier transitions . In this dynamic role, you will serve as a key liaison between cross-functional teams —including the Value Stream, project engineering, and casting technology—to ensure alignment and support of plant output. You will be responsible for identifying and managing risks, driving cost-saving opportunities, supporting supplier transitions, resolving technical inquiries, while maintaining rigorous quality standards and project profitability . Adaptive communication skills, technical proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, and the ability to coordinate complex engineering changes in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment are foundational for success in this role.

What You Will Do

• Provide Project Engineering leadership for military gearbox and pump casting mitigations and transitions.
• Identify, track, and manage mitigation plans for risks across military product lines.
• Serve as a product engineering focal, liaising between the Value Stream, project teams, and casting technology / producibility as necessary to support plant output.
• Resolve Supplier Requests for Information (SRIs) by providing clarifications and processing Change Requests (CRs).
• Manage piece part supplier transitions.
• Pursue cost saving opportunities to maximize project profitability.
• Consolidate and present plans and progress reports relating to business aspects of the project.
• Support Quality investigations as necessary when piece-part issues affect product deliveries.
• Verify internal processes are being executed to reduce the probability of engineering turn-backs.
• Read and interpret drawings, provide mark ups, and coordinate drawing changes.
• Confidently provide clear, concise communications with peers and Collins leadership.
• Up to 10% travel may be required.

The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education / training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and / or the company's performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
