We're hiring for a Payroll Lead! This is a position that ensures accurate, compliant, and timely payroll operations across Southwind's multi-state footprint. Acting as a bridge between the payroll team and the Payroll & Benefits Manager, this role provides leadership in day-to-day payroll activities, resolves escalated issues, and drives process improvements. The Payroll Lead mentors payroll specialists, supports acquisitions, and partners with cross-functional leaders to deliver a reliable teammate experience

Location : Mission, KS (In-Office)

Salary : $60,000 - $65,000

What you'll do :

Payroll Operations & Compliance

• Oversee weekly payroll processing across multiple states and brands, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
• Review complex payroll cases and approve corrections or adjustments before submission.
• Support payroll tax compliance, garnishment processing, and record maintenance.
• Partner with the Payroll & Benefits Manager to monitor regulatory changes and implement compliance updates.
