Job Summary :
As a Medical Receptionist at Native Wound Therapy, you will be the first point of contact for our patients, ensuring a warm, welcoming, and efficient experience. As a Tero certified Native Owned Small Business specializing in advanced wound care solutions, we prioritize community-oriented service and access to quality healthcare. Your role will be pivotal in supporting our clinical team and creating an organized environment that promotes patient care.
Key Responsibilities :
- Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing them with information and assistance as needed.
- Manage appointment scheduling, including coordinating with mobile care providers to optimize patient flow.
- Answer phone calls, responding to inquiries and directing calls to the appropriate staff.
- Maintain patient records and ensure that all documentation is accurate and up to date in electronic health records (experience with EMR systems is a MUST!).
- Perform data entry and update insurance information for patients.
- Assist with insurance verification and communicate with billing staff regarding patient accounts.
- Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and conducive to a positive patient experience.
- Handle correspondence and assist with administrative tasks as needed.
- Comply with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent; additional medical office training or certification is a plus.Previous experience as a medical receptionist or in a healthcare administrative role preferred.Proficient in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems and Microsoft Office Suite.Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities.Strong customer service skills and a compassionate attitude towards patients.Benefits
