Chief Engineer, Quality Manufacturing

We are seeking a distinguished and strategically minded executive to assume the role of Chief, Quality Manufacturing – North America. This senior leadership position is responsible for establishing and executing the overarching quality strategy for all Ford and Lincoln vehicles and components produced within the North American region.

The successful candidate will serve as the principal authority on manufacturing quality, guiding the organization in the implementation of advanced quality systems and methodologies. This role requires a visionary leader capable of fostering a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement, while effectively managing a large and diverse team of quality professionals.

As Chief, Quality Manufacturing – North America, you will play a critical role in ensuring effective product launches, robust manufacturing processes, and the consistent delivery of world-class products. Your leadership will be instrumental in upholding Ford's enduring commitment to superior craftsmanship and exceptional customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

You'll Have…

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or related field) from an accredited university.
• Minimum of 15 years of progressive leadership experience in automotive manufacturing quality, product quality, or related engineering roles, with a significant portion at a senior management level.
• Demonstrated experience leading large, geographically dispersed teams within a complex manufacturing environment.
• Proven expertise in leading and deploying advanced quality planning processes (APQP, PPAP), quality management systems (ISO / IATF 169949), and problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 8D, Six Sigma, Shainin).
• Exceptional strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills with a results-oriented approach.
• Superior communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing at all levels from the shop floor to executive leadership.
• Strong business acumen and understanding of the financial impact of quality on product cost and customer satisfaction.
