Job Summary
The Retail Events Supervisor provides direction and supervision for all retail activities within the building, including providing guests with a world-class fan / customer experience, driving sales, overseeing staff to ensure stores are all supported and merchandise / inventory control is adhered to per Tampa Bay Sports protocol.
The Retail Supervisor will need to possess a positive attitude, solid work ethic, a strong sense of ownership, will be proactive in nature, and will uphold the highest of professional standards.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Help to train and lead, all hourly sales associates to consistently meet and exceed Tampa Bay Sports standards.
Ensure the staff provides, best-in-class customer service per VSG guidelines.
Manage and drive event sales results. Challenge and inspire sales associates to achieve sales goals.
Ensure all stores are stocked and clean and ready for business on game days or event days.
Work with Manager to keep stores & stands well stocked and visually merchandised.
Ensure the proper transfer of stock to and from the stores & stands.
Provide front line workers support / help throughout each event.
Oversees inventories and monthly cycle counts.
Open / Close stores & stands and provide coverage if part time staff calls off.
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum 2-3 years store experience in a high volume, arena / stadium environment
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Ability to motivate and help develop a strong team of frontline workers.
Ability to anticipate challenges and use logic and reasoning to identify / develop solutions.
Proven track record of providing best-in-class customer service.
Highly organized and self-motivated.
Strong knowledge of retail POS systems; experience with NCR CounterPoint a plus.
Working Conditions
Must be able to stand on feet for long periods of time, walk long distances and climb stairs.
Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely in the English language
Ability to work in areas that can become crowded with equipment and / or people
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50lbs.
Ability to work comfortably around special effects including, but not limited to : haze, strobe lights, lasers, etc.
Ability to work in loud environments
Must be able to walk up to 0.5 miles to and from designated employee parking areas, including in varying earther conditions and during high-traffic event times
Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule including long hours, nights, weekends, and holidays
Must be able to work in cold / hot indoor and outdoor temperatures
