Medical Assistant Position
The Medical Assistant (MA) is a member of a cross-disciplinary care team that includes health care providers, nurses, behavioral health providers and other support staff. The Medical Assistant supports the mission and values of Maple City Health Care Center (MCHCC) by providing patient care and supporting the work of the medical team.

Duties and Responsibilities :
Utilizes EMR in patient careUtilizes multiple resources for staff communicationCompletes patient intakeAdministers vaccines and other injectionsAdministers labs and proceduresCompletes patient care tasks, such as blood drawsPrepares patient roomsCompletes certain telephone encountersShares in assigned maintenance dutiesCommunicates with patients, such as communication via phone and electronicallyOther duties that support our shared work, as assignedThis description does not cover or contain a comprehensive listing of all activitiesRequired Skills and Abilities :
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manualsAbility to write routine reports and documentationAbility to speak effectively to the public in person or on the telephoneDemonstrates effective interpersonal skillsEducation and Experience :
High school diploma or equivalentOne-year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferredPhysical Requirements :
