Production Supervisor - 2nd Shift
Boston Scientific in Maple Grove, MN is seeking a Production Supervisor (2nd shift) to lead a team of direct labor employees in the safe, efficient, and high-quality production of medical devices. This role directly impacts patients' lives across the globe by ensuring the delivery of exceptional products.
The core hours for this shift are 2 : 00 PM to 10 : 00 PM (Monday through Friday). In this position, you will grow your leadership capabilities by coaching, mentoring, and supporting your production and support team personnel. You will help create a culture of engagement and continuous improvement while driving performance to meet safety, quality, service, and cost goals.
Your responsibilities will include :
- Produce high-quality products safely, on time, and at the lowest cost
- Identify customer requirements and deliver the right products at the right time
- Remain responsive and flexible to customer demands
- Achieve and exceed product cost goals
- Support new product development readiness activities
- Ensure compliance with Boston Scientific policies and regulatory standards
- Promote safety, quality, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
- Foster teamwork and enable a culture of Operational Excellence across the cross-functional team
- Ensure effective two-way communication between the production line team and support functions
- Manage, coach, and develop product builders through performance management
- Demonstrate and reinforce company values through individual and team recognition
- Utilize production planning tools to ensure proper allocation of labor, equipment, support, and space
- Ensure effective and efficient training while maintaining cross-training versatility
- Apply leader standard work practices to monitor performance and escalate as needed
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives for safety, quality, service, cost, and space
- Partner with materials management to support build planning and material delivery systems
- Analyze build plan requirements and provide forward-looking monthly production commitments
- Anticipate resource requirements and position the team to exceed customer needs
- Contribute to the long-term planning of the production area
Required qualifications :
Bachelor's degree (an equivalent combination of manufacturing experience and education will be considered)Solid computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPointDemonstrated experience with Lean tools and systemsAbility to support and lead a production team working 2nd shift hours (2 : 00 PM 10 : 00 PM)Preferred qualifications :
