Reports to : Operations Manager
Supervisory Responsibilities
Provide leadership, direction, expertise, and support to production employees and the 24 / 7 operationDrive employee engagement, training, and development to maximize manufacturing, quality, safety, and productivity goalsEffectively communicate results and action plans to shift employeesContributes with corrective actions and coaching of employees within company policyResponsibilities
Collaborate directly with departments to optimize schedule accomplishmentCollaborate with HR to ensure employee issues or concerns are correctly addressed and resolvedDevelop, participate, and lead process improvement projectsDevelop and execute plans on a weekly and monthly basis to achieve cost efficient and accurate processesIdentify, align, and provide input to operational excellence practicesUtilize technical skills and relevant experience to identify / solve problems and recommends / implements operating efficienciesAlign and implement reliability processes foundational to operationsEnsure all Plant operations and business is conducted in a safe and controlled environmentProvide stakeholders reliable information, communications, reporting and management updatesConduct timely root cause analysis and enforce improvements to process controlsEnsure compliance with the Company's Integrated Management Systems which includes, but is not limited to Production, Quality, Food Safety & GMP.Other duties as assigned.Required Skills / Abilities
Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force at times and / or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and / or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human bodyAbility to work in cold and hot environments (approximately 38F—80F degrees)Ability to be mobile in accomplishing tasks and or moving from one worksite (up to I—mile range) to another this could include but not be limited to in—plant departments, (Shipping— Receiving, Production, etc.)Ability to repeat motions that may include use of the wrists, hands and / or fingers, and standing or sitting for prolonged periods (average 8—12 hours)Strong skills in written communications, oral communications, analytical skills, organizational skills, and balanced decision-making skills required to manage projectsStrong leadership skills and prior experience with managing large teams is requiredRegularly time and attendanceEducation and Experience
Must be 18 years or older with the ability to read, write and speak English specific to work instructions including but not limited to safety purposesHigh school, GED, or equivalent diploma required2 year degree, and / or equivalent combination(s) of education, industry experience and training2 + years manufacturing supervision experienceBackground in high volume manufacturing, preferably within the food and beverage field3+ years of experience in food manufacturing within a GMP environment PreferredPhysical Requirements
