About the Role

As a Safety Specialist at our Tulane site, you'll join xAI's Health, Safety, and Environment team ensuring a secure and compliant workplace for our cutting-edge projects. Working onsite with dedicated teams, you'll tackle safety challenges, implement robust protocols, and maintain high standards to keep operations running smoothly. Expect to dive into risk assessments, foster a culture of safety, and support xAI's mission to accelerate human scientific discovery through AI.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards, ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations and xAI safety standards.
• Oversee the inventory of safety supplies, restocking as needed to maintain adequate resources for emergency response and daily operations.
• Perform manual sound and air quality assessments to ensure a healthy work environment, documenting findings and implementing corrective actions when necessary.
• Provide immediate first aid care to employees as required, coordinating with external medical services when needed.
• Uphold and enforce site-specific safety plans, policies, and protocols, conducting training sessions to promote a culture of safety awareness.
